Modular homes are a great building option for acreage sites across NSW and QLD. This especially is showcased in this lovely home up at Guyra on the NSW New England Tablelands. A charming 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom home that fits in well with the surrounds and features bamboo floors and homestead charm!
P.S. This is the first time we had installed a modular home in snowy weather! Brrrrr!
The clients built their home on their beautiful acreage site at Guyra on the New England Tablelands. Situated at an elevation of around 1400m, it gets pretty cold in the winter! To match their lovely 4-bedroom home, they also installed a 2-bay Colorbond shed with apron, driveways, 2 x 22500L poly tanks and an onsite sewerage treatment plant.
The home features Weathertex Primelok cladding, a 2.0m wide front verandah with hardwood decking and insulated panel roofing. Along with the hip roof, the wrap-around front verandah adds a cosy country homestead feel to the home. At the rear of the house is the large entertainment area with hardwood decking and stairs with one wall fully enclosed to protect from those chilly westerly breezes! As a bonus, it also provides a great spot to put the BBQ!
One of the key features in this home is the large open plan kitchen features 2-pac shaker style routed cupboard fronts. The benchtops feature Caesarstone Organic White. All cabinets and drawers include soft closing mechanisms, and the oven is a 600mm multifunction Westinghouse unit with a gas stove and retractable rangehood.
Another beautiful feature of this home is the Embleton Nullarbor Bamboo flooring throughout the living area. Along with the shaker style kitchen, this relatively inexpensive flooring option really adds to the country appeal.
Some other great features included in this home include a Nectar N800 wood heater in the living area (a must in Guyra) and custom-made wall hung vanities with timber look laminate to the Bathroom and Ensuite.
The client chose to work with one of our standard Burnett MK5 designs and tweak the home to suit their exact requirements. We believe that the best home design is yours – our designs should only be really viewed as suggestions.
