PROSTON CASE STUDY | 3 BEDROOM PREFABRICATED HOME

Check out this new prefabricated home we completed at Proston near Kingaroy QLD last year. The home is a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom Glenvale 1 home with a rear verandah, outdoor room and double lock up garage.

We reckon this home really showcases what you are able to do with a prefabricated modular home! Read on to check out a few more photos of what these clients did with their home and the key features!

 

THE DESIGN

These clients are an older couple who do a lot of travelling across Australia. They came to us originally looking for a bit of a “Home Base” to park their SUV and caravan. After many discussions, a visit to the factory and a visit to their site they decided that the Glenvale 1 home suited them best.

But – they really did have two “must have” items they were requesting from their builder. One was a lock-up garage. And secondly, they really wanted a day room – or a QLDer room as they called it!

Our design consultant worked with clients in detail to understand what they required. After a few rounds of discussions, a plan was arrived at which suited their requirements, met the budget and would fit on the block!

THE DOUBLE BAY GARAGE

The large double bay lock-up garage is one of the main features you can see from the front of the street. This lovely 6m x 6m double bay lock-up garage is fully lined with a concrete slab floor. It is fully painted and features a remote-controlled panel lift door. Whilst the garage isn’t a cheap inclusion we believe it really highlights the versatility of a prefabricated home!

OPEN PLAN LIVING AREAS

Walking in of the front verandah you are immediately greeted with a spacious and open plan living area. This then flows through to a large custom built “Laminex” kitchen and the rear verandah. The large master bedroom is to the left of the entry. Leading to the right is the hallway to two bedrooms, laundry, and bathroom.

The raked cathedral ceiling is a popular feature on many of our prefabricated homes. The reason for this is they add an open, airy feel making spaces look much larger than they are.

LARGE BEDROOMS

Our clients are always amazed by the large bedrooms in the Glenvale range of homes. As all the bedrooms in this home are 3.8m wide and fully carpeted they take advantage of every extra space. Along with the built-in robes and fully custom-made shelf units, these bedrooms are a wonder!

VERANDAHS

The large verandahs with oiled hardwood decks and insulated panel ceilings are a delight to relax on. Not only that they give the home the added benefit of shading from the hot South Burnett sun. You can just imagine sitting on the rear deck watching the sun go down over the hills with a coldie and the crickets chirping!

THE QLDER ROOM

The owners had requested a day room as one of the main features of the home. A large 6m x 4.6m deck is enclosed with Colorbond cladding, aluminium louvres and features a hardwood deck and insulated panel ceilings. This is the perfect room for the family get together or a party with the friends! You can see why they call this the “QLDer” room!
